One of Coffs Harbour's most amazing attractions is the award winning Coffs Harbour Butterfly House, Maze and Tearooms. Walk amongst the beauty and diversity of Australia's vast range of butterflies in an indoor subtropical rainforest setting.

Stroll among hundreds of live butterflies in our all weather indoor rainforest setting. Share the world of the butterfly as they fly, court, mate, sip nectar or rest in the light showing off their fascinating colours and patterns. Our outdoor maze area will have you hunting for clues to answer our quiz. The colour maze will have all members of your family trying to work out the levels of difficulty.

A memento of your visit, a gift for a special friend or a butterfly bargain can be found in the souvenir shop. A display of woodturning for the discerning craft buyer is also available. Our garden room provides a beautiful setting to relax in and indulge in lovely homemade morning or afternoon teas or light lunches.

Opening Times
The Butterfly House is open from 9am to 4pm all year round except in NSW school terms, when we are closed on Mondays. During NSW school holidays we are open 7 days a week with the exception of Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Christmas Day.

The activity level of the butterflies is determined by light, temperature and humidity, therefore the butterflies are normally more active between 10 am and 2 pm.
